Mirza Mahdi Water Reservoir – Sari

Mirza Mahdi Water Reservoir, located in the center of Sari city in Mazandaran province, is one of the historical attractions of this province.

Not too long ago, people were able to store the rain water of winter in structures called water reservoirs to use during the water shortage in summer.

It is related to the Afshar or Zand eras. It has been constructed out of brick and mortar, and is circular in shape and has a dome. A crescent dome is located above it and there are also valves for lighting.
