Preparing citizens is the best way to protect them from fire emergencies
Teaching people of all ages, especially children, about fire and the danger it may cause is the best way to protect them and reduce damages. As a result, one of the important goals of the Fire Fighting and Safety Services Organization of Sari Municipality is to educate the public to prevent a fire from starting and reduce its potential risks.
Ali Domirkolaee, Head of the Fire Fighting Organization, said: “in the last month, 5 thousand and 963 man-hours of education about safety subjects were given by my colleagues.” Considering students as a special target group of education, he said: “the education department of this organization has been taught more than 2000 students of different schools of Sari the necessary precautions to prevent potentially harmful fires. My colleagues go into schools or even kindergartens to teach children about fire safety subjects.”
In addition to schools of Sari, the education department of Fire Fighting Organization has chosen some rural schools as a pilot to provide fire prevention education there.
Every month, many students and children of kindergarten come to Sari firefighting organization to get familiar with the missions and activities of the firefighters.
